Having just dropped his second EP on Amsterdam’s Basserk Records we invite Nuaru to drift into the Mix the Belt fold, packing Episode 018 of the series under his tiny little Dutch arms. The young man who was born as ‘Rik’ comes skittering through the Bite the Belt gates with a collection of 150-160bpm tracks that seem to fringe every genre; delivering a glitter-speckled smorgasbord of electronica, breaks, juke, footwork, jackin’ house, drum & bass and even some grimey/dutty badness – however all of it is of the most ‘party-time’ kind.
Featuring tracks from the Basserk ‘Aura Botanica’ release, this one gives you the sparkle of teenage youth on the chemical fuelled tiles though keeps the uplift levelled with enough subterranean mood swings and brooding basement feels.
