My Panda Shall Fly – True feat. Deptford Goth

Time and time again I come back to this ridiculous label, swooning like a schoolboy in the presence of the pretty girls you all pretend to hate because of their cootie-baring nature but secretly fancy the pants off and want to get naked-freaky with in a confused, Freudian sense.

Except in this case, no one’s pretending to hate anyone, everyone’s openly in love with the Germanic Circular Moon Project unbending in its constant tides of soft, swelling, sultry sounds.

This time around we come back to an old friendly face, Sri-Lankan born Londoner Suren Seneviratne, My Panda Shall Fly. A man always on the fringes of the collapsing genre borders, carelessly drifting from sound to sound with GPS set to “left it in the store because I never bought one” on a freestyle, boundless adventure of musical manipulation. Rolling out a broken 4×4 track with South-London experi-pop-mentalist project, Deptford Goth, in what is sure set to be a warming moment in any live experience. Though, in equal measures, this makes for just as delicious a headphone/car stereo backing.

My Panda Shall Fly - Too Cover Art

This is the second track in Suren’s up and coming album, ‘Too’, which is a subconscious-to-concious mind-exploration of various singers from across the globe; the album a means to express their inner fears and anxieties. I expect no less from the label and even more so, Suren.

You can pre-order the LP on limited edition double vinyl pack, CD, digital or of course, cassette, here. Set to drop some time in April… I think…
